You Have a Choice

Your SEPTA Key card can also work as a prepaid Debit Mastercard if you choose to load money on your card to spend on retail transactions such as groceries, food, clothing, or paying bills -- everywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted in the US. Your Debit Mastercard money is kept separate from your SEPTA fare products and Travel wallet so you don't have to worry about overspending. If you choose to use the optional Debit Mastercard feature of your card, some fees will apply.

PLEASE NOTE: You can upgrade your Instant Card to an Instant Plus Card, which allows additional functionalities without needing to replace the physical Card. The Instant Plus Card has additional capabilities of cash reload and ATM withdrawals. To request an Instant Plus SEPTA Key Prepaid Mastercard, you must contact Customer Service at 1-855-567-3782.
